Awareness involving the virtual world
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I started using Second Life about a month ago.... and realised what a huge influence/impact it can have for people in need of funds/education/help/sustainability etc etc - the list goes on an on.

I believe that in the future - 3rd World countries who cannot afford schooling will be able to learn and get education through actual librarians or bots(virtual teachers) (does it really matter) on info islands (virtual schools/libraries)

I think very importantly that Corporate Social Responsibility should start playing roles in the virtual world too - specifically talking about Second Life - I like to call it Corporate virtual Responsibility = Hope that makes any sense - 60 Million Dollars run through Second life - GDP 2007 - what is 500 thousand to those who really need it

The problem is that money gets channeled to the wrong people - a system need to be designed that channels it for those who need it and not for their own good

Things need to become more personal -if i donate money i would like to see where my difference is made - webcasts, photos, mails, direct contact --- name it

For the good of all!!
